Micro Schools

A Micro School has a maximum of 20 seats.  It is recommended that a Micro School deploy ten work stations and allocate each work station to two students, a morning and afternoon shift 8AM-11AM and 12PM to 3PM, for example.

Micro School pricing offers our lowest price per seat and is meant to help get classrooms started who are on a very low start-up budget.  The Micro School package includes:

Word Press Website - $1,200 annually
  • Website for billing parents and enrolling students. 
  • Website automatically sends enrollment information to Studia Nova
  • Branding of your website with logo, colors and theme. 
  • Link on the website to the virtual curriculum login
  • Volunteer-scheduling tool on the website for parents who are logged in
  • Customers will be provides access to customize their website
  • Cost is fixed recurring, does not increase with more students
Student Seats - $8,000 annually
  • 20 seats is the minimum purchase
    • This price works out to be $44.44 per student per month at capacity
  • Half payment due at the beginning of term
  • Cost Increases when you add more students, note: per student cost will also increase
  • Summer term is three months and is optional, cost is additional $1,000 annually
Curriculum - included
  • Full K-12 Curriculum for multiple programs
  • Includes required print-outs and online work
  • Does not include grading of all assignments
    • Writing assignments and a few others must be grades by the Micro School staff
    • Math assignment grading is included/automated
Student Services - included
  • Student transcripts and attendance
  • Accredited High School diploma
  • High School graduation course counseling for your students
  • Transcript review for transfer students
  • Student Records Requests
  • Synchronous lessons for select high school courses
  • On-demand help for high school students - 10 hours per month
Refurbished Work Stations - Optional $200 per workstation
  • Studia Nova partners provide refurbished work stations which include:
    • Computer
    • Monitor
    • Wired keyboard & mouse
    • Camera for virtual sessions
  • Operating system software is Lynyx Ubuntu
  • Computers will meets all platform requirements
  • One computer left on-site for 'hot-swap' no additional cost
  • Total for 10 workstations: $2,000 one-time payment
Work Station Support - Optional $5 per month per computer
  • Remote trouble shooting
  • Software upgrades
  • Business hours support line
  • Ship replacement computers at no additional cost
  • Total for 10 workstations: $50 per month, $600 annually
  • Site visits priced separately
Printers - Optional Market Priced
  • All Learning Centers require printers for student use
  • Studia Nova can provide used printers and configure all student computers with printer drivers
  • Price dependent on stock
Learning Center Installation - Optional $2000 
  • If located in the State of California, Studia Nova partners can set up your learning center.
  • If located over 4 hours from our head quarters in the Sacramento Region - $1,000 travel fee required
  • Computers set-up and tested with cable management
  • Connected with wired internet to your router
  • Cat-5 cables cut to length, routers, switched etc. powerstrips included
  • Customer must have installed student desks and sent layout plan/photos for Studia Nova for approval prior to installation date
  • Customer must have arranged internet prior to installation
  • Installation takes 1-1.5 days if the site is ready
Additional Costs - Not Provided by Studia Nova
  • Student Desk and Chairs
    • Provide students a four-foot long desk
  • Student headphones with microphones (recommend a cheap 'gamer' headset) - each student should have their own
  • Printer paper and printer toner - keep in stock for print-outs
  • Regular paper, pencils, pens and such
  • Fast Internet service
  • Insurance Cost for your location
Staffing and Skills expectations to run your learning center
  • Skills to run a small business
  • Manage Word Press Site for minor changes - part time, just part of running a small business 
  • Learning Center Coach
    • Able to help students through 8th grade level math and most humanities courses, foreign language excluded
    • Basic computer knowledge, turn off/on etc, follow instructions from customer support, etc.
  • Grader - grade  writing assignments submitted by students through on-line platform - part time, few hours a week, can be learning coach
