Moodle Upload Very Slow
Moodle was running very slow when uploading any files, this affected students uploading screenshots as well as uploading audio files when creating the course content.
Resolution
It was identified on the forums that when the server runs ClamAV Anti-Virus Manager, it causes Moodle to hang-up when anyone tried to upload files.
It was then identified that there is config file that specifies to check for virus updates 24 times a day. This can be updated to check 0 times per day or less to reduce upload time.
In a forum it was stated: I found my problem.. I should have been using clamdscan instead of clamscan. That way the control is instantly transfered back to moodle after upload"
